Student Fee Advisory Committee

Mission Statement

The Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) advises the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs on setting the amounts of student fees, including the General Fee, Service Fee, Health Fee, and Sustainability Fee.  Student members are the only voting members of the SFAC.

Committee Charge

In addition to reviewing and advising the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSA) regarding the General Fee, Service Fee, Health Fee and Sustainability Fee, SFAC members also provide input to Budget Office concerning tuition rates and related academic fees.

Membership

  • The voting members are the student body presidents of the Undergraduate Student Government, Graduate Student Council, Health Professions Student Council, Student Bar Association, Student Activities Funding Committee, Student Activities Board, Residence Hall Association, Regional Sites, Intercollegiate Athletics, and OVCSA Student Representatives.
  • UIC Student Board of Director’s Trustee
  • The committee is supported by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Business Services.

**The SFAC starts its work in September of each year and concludes by mid-October when it makes its recommendation to the OVCSA.
